Game of Thrones Season 7 Preview May Have Revealed Jon Snow's Full Birth Name

The anticipation for Game of Thrones is getting high as the seventh season approaches, and fans are excited to know what will happen to their favorite characters. At the end of Season 6, the board is set for Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Cersei Lannister to battle over the Iron Throne in King's Landing, but there's still a lot of questions that needed to be answered for the key players, and how they will react to the big threat from the North.

Season 6 also confirmed that Jon Snow is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. The truth gave Jon Snow a stronger claim to the Iron Throne. Although we learned about Jon Snow's heritage, the show dropped the audio track when Lyanna told a young Eddard Stark what Jon's birth name was. Fans assumed we'll have to wait until the new season comes out before we find out his true name, but it looks like it was revealed earlier than expected.

Redditor theshivssharma shared an image in the Freefolk subreddit page from the July 2017 Empire Magazine preview, which showed a huge spoiler. The Empire article's blurb addresses the truth that Bran revealed Jon Snow's lineage, and it seemingly shows Jon Snow's birth name:

"As we saw in the last episode of Season 6, Bran's psychic time-travelling 'greensight' revealed the true nature of Jon's birth heritage and his real name: Jaehaerys Targaryen."

So Jon Snow's true name is probably Jaehaerys Targaryen but HBO hasn't confirmed it.

Game of Thrones Season will premiere on July 16, 2017, Sunday on HBO.
