Game of Thrones Season 6 Finale Will Be Wun Wun-Sized

The finale for Game of Thrones Season 6 is coming, and it's going to be huge, like the giant Wun Wun.

Well, it's going to be larger than your average 50-60 minute episode. It's even larger than the previous Game of Thrones season finales. As Entertainment Weekly reports, the Season 6 finale will have a runtime of 69 minutes! The previous finale episodes ranged from 63 to 65 minutes, so this will be the longest episode to date by about 240 seconds.

The showrunners promised that Season 6 will feature the largest battle sequence yet, but will most likely unfold in the ninth episode, titled The Battle of Bastards, which is safe to assume is referring to the long-awaited battle between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton (or Snow) for Winterfell. The final episode is called The Winds of Winter, which is a direct nod to George R.R. Martin's upcomin sixth book of the A Song of Ice and Fire series.

I'm excited to see how Arya's storyline will unfold. I think it's obvious that she will survive the Waif, but how? I expect to see a mind-blowing tricksy move from the newly-trained assassin. We'll probably see Daenerys meet with the Greyjoys so she and her army could cross the sea and finally invade Westeros. Cersei will probably unleash violence against the Faith Militant, and hopefully we'll see Lady Stoneheart along the way. Show me Lady Stoneheart, and I'll be happy for long.

No synopses have been released for the final two episodes, but you can check out the synopsis for the next episode, titled 'No One' here. Some rumored plot details have leaked online, but if you hate spoilers, don't dig for them.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
