Game of Thrones fans are used to the deaths of favorite characters, so it comes as a surprise when the show’s producers “apologize” for the first time ever for the latest episode last Sunday titled The Door (You can read our review here).

Apparently though, they aren’t really sorry for killing Hodor (Krisitan Nairn). In their statement shown via ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday night, Emmy-winning writer-producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss sincerely apologized and expressed regret – for fans saying “hodor” instead of “hold the door” when asking people to well, hold a door.
