Game Of Thrones’ Peter Dinklage Opens Up About Season 7 Finale’s Sex Scene

Game of Thrones ended with fireworks during its seventh season on HBO. After eight episodes of seeing Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) coming together and shooting each other meaningful looks, the King of the North and the Mother of Dragons finally decided to make love.

Unfortunately, aside from the impending attack of the undead, the union of one of the series' most highly-anticipated coupledoms was met with a forlorn look from Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).

There's been a lot of speculation about the look that Tyrion had on his face when he saw Jon entering Danny's room, and now it looks like Peter Dinklage has decided to give fans an idea about what's going on in his character's head in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"A lot of the time with Tyrion, it's professional and personal," the actor shared with the publication. "Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys. He loves her — or thinks he does. She's awe-inspiring. He's questioning that because he doesn't have a good track record for falling in love. There's jealousy wrapped up in there. And he loves Jon Snow, too. They're the two people he has the most in common with, in a way — they're both outsiders in their own families who have refused to follow the path their family has taken, and hopefully for the better."

Dinklage's comment might seem like a confirmation for fans who believe that Tyrion was actually jealous of Jon when he decided to enter Daenery's room, but the actor also reminds everyone that the Dragon Queen's hand is also trying to analyze the outcome of the couple's romantic involvement.

"He's wondering how smart of a move [Jon and Dany getting romantically involved is] because passion and politics don't mix well," the Game of Thrones star added. "He knows the two of them getting together could be very dangerous."

Now, as fans patiently wait for the eighth and final season of HBO's fantasy epic, so many questions regarding Jon and Daenerys' little affair continue to swirl around online. Will this romance between the two last for the entire two seasons? Will their love put the seven kingdoms in danger? Will it distract them from the war ahead?

Let's wait and see.

Game of Thrones returns with its final season on HBO sometime in 2019.
