Frozen 2 Star Says Third Disney Film Not Happening

The premiere of Frozen 2 is still two weeks away but it looks like the cast and crew are already looking towards the future. So what are the chances that there will be a third Frozen movie? Alfred Molina claims that Frozen 3 might not be happening.

Molina was recently in attendance at the Frozen 2 premiere in Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. When asked by Variety if his character King Agnarr will return in Frozen 3, Molina had a surprising response.

"I don't think there will be a 3, that's what I've heard, but who knows?" he said. When pressed by the reporter, Molina offered hope for fans who are waiting for a threequel.

"Those kind of decisions are way above my pay grade," he added.

At this point, Disney might still be considering the possibility of a third Frozen film. After all, that could depend on how well Frozen 2 does in the box office. Although we're still not sure about how the second movie will play out. Nevertheless, there could be room for yet another film.

The synopsis for Frozen 2 reads as follows:

"Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll face a dangerous but remarkable journey. In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen 2, she must hope they are enough."

Frozen 2 premieres on November 22.
