Former Catwoman Anne Hathaway Congratulates Zoe Cravitz on The Batman Role

The beautiful and talented Zoe Cravitz has recently been cast as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman for Matt Reeves' The Batman, with many of us excited to see what she brings to the character. It's good seeing this movie get more stars and we're hoping that more development for the film is done to make it one hell of a superhero movie.

As we wait for more news about the film, former Catwoman Anne Hathaway congratulated Kravitz on getting the role. Fans will remember how Hathaway was wonderful as Selina in The Dark Knight Rises and is often good in whatever role she decided to put herself in. While we won't be seeing her in the DCEU anytime soon, it is pretty cool of Hathaway to go out of her way and congratulate her.

We call her a former Catwoman but since The Dark Knight trilogy had a more realistic tone, they settled for putting her in a skin-tight suit and having Hathaway occasionally put her goggles up, making them look like cat ears. It was an acquired taste but something fans enjoyed in the end, along with Tom Hardy's fun portrayal as Bane, giving us a charismatic villain with an odd but memorable voice.

Obviously, with Batman V Superman and Justice League failing to set the world on fire - unless you're a DC fan in denial - fans are hoping that Matt Reeves' The Batman puts the franchise in a good place again. Let's hope that it does.

The Batman is scheduled for release on June 2021.
