First Character Posters for Umbrella Academy Season 2

The Umbrella Academy was a huge hit for Netflix last year, and we're set to get the second season of the show soon. While we don't have a release date yet, the official account has just put up all these retro character posters, with the ominous tagline, "When are they?"

Check them out:

The final episode didn't have everyone stopping the apocalypse, but they all did come together to time travel and try to stop it again. I don't know about you, but time travelling to stop a world-ending threat kind of sounds like something out of the Avengers book, but I guess you can't judge since the show came out first.

We should expect a very different world when it comes to this sequel, since the only actors returning would be the main Hargreeves kids. We already lost Pogo, and it seems like hitmen Cha-Cha and Hazel won't be coming back either. Then again, with a time travel story, we should probably expect to see some familiar faces down the line. Then again, we have no idea what's going to happen yet when it comes to the Hargreeves trying to stop the apocalypse from the past.

On the same day in October 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. But not everything went according to plan. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded. Now, the six surviving thirty-something members reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Vanya and Number Five work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death. But the estranged family once again begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.

No release date has been set for the second season of The Umbrella Academy, but you can catch the first season on Netflix now.
