Final Fantasy XV On PC Has Some Major Issues

When Final Fantasy XV was first announced for PC, fans got really excited for the 2018 release. After all, the game is one of the best-looking current-gen titles out right now, and the gameplay is ridiculously fun. Unfortunately, it seems like the port is going through a rough patch, as the PAX West demo of the game has disappointed a number of fans.

According to Ars Technica, the current build of suffers from a number of issues. The current mouse and keyboard controls have been described as awkward, since Square Enix mapped controller specific buttons. No one was able to do Noctis' signature warp attack with the keyboard, so that will definitely have to be fixed.

Visual presentation has also been criticized. The demo didn't have a menu for visual settings, so players weren't able to adjust how the game would perform. Worse yet, the game was barely able to run at 30 frames-per-second (fps), which might turn off some hardened PC players. The console versions of Final Fantasy XV only have a few visual issues, so this is disheartening to hear.

To be fair to Square Enix, this could just be a rough build of the game. After all, the title won't be coming out till next year, so there might be enough time to add some of the missing features PC players want. For the sake of PC fans, here is hoping this port of Final Fantasy XV ends up being good.

Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition will be released sometime in 2018. It will have the full game, and all of the DLC content that came out on the console versions.
