Explore Superman’s Origin with New Trailer for Superman: Man of Tomorrow

It may be a while before we get to see Henry Cavill return as Superman on the big screen, but the Man of Steel has always been appearing in multiple animated movies from WB Animation. After Superman: Red Son and Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, we have a new trailer for Superman: Man of Tomorrow.

Here's the logline: Daily Planet intern Clark Kent takes learning-on-the-job to new extremes when Lobo and Parasite set their sights on Metropolis.

What's interesting is that this looks to be based on the Man of Tomorrow series which had launched earlier this year. What's interesting is that Superman: The Man of Tomorrow was also a series that ran back in the '90s. Maybe this movie will help hype up the ongoing comic.

It's also worth noting that Man of Tomorrow has quite the star-studded cast. Darren Criss (Glee) is voicing Superman in this film, with Zachary Quinto (Star Trek) playing the part of Lex Luthor. Alexandra Daddario is also cast as Lois Lane with Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy) playing Lobo and Ike Amadi (Mortal Kombat) voicing Martian Manhunter.

This is also just my personal opinion, but I really like the animation style that the movie is going for. It kind of reminds me of artist Gurihiru who has drawn Superman before, but this one has its own unique look.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow is set to come out on digital and Blu-Ray/DVD this summer.
