Each Fantastic Beasts Movie Will Take Place in a Different City

J.K. Rowling has breathed new life into her Wizarding World thanks to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the sequel is set to come out later this year. With The Crimes of Grindelwald set to take place in Paris, Rowling promises that the rest of the installments will take us to another place around the world.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, director David Yates explains:

"Jo's already told us where the next one is taking place. It's very exciting. This is a global story, ultimately. And given that there's a global audience for this, it's all the more delightful to take the story to different parts of the world."

With that in mind, I have a feeling we're going to be exploring the different mythological creatures of different places. Maybe we could meet dragons in China or some tengu and oni in Japan. What are the odds that Newt will make it to South America and run into the famed chupacabra?

With the subtitle for the current movie, I'm concerned that Newt will somewhat become a side character in his own franchise. Though I'd love to see the whole clash between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, I wouldn't want the franchise to keep Newt onboard just because he was in the first movie.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to come out Nov. 17.
