EA Dice Announces The Details of Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Open Beta

With EA Dice promising significant improvement in Star Wars Battlefront II excitement continues to build up over the videogame developer's cross-generational Star Wars action shooter video game.

Last week gamers were able to get a list of the games characters through the game's closed alpha and then EA Dice released a new image of Rey as well as a breakdown of her abilities.

Today, the videogame developer has decided to announce Star Wars Battlefront II's open beta.

Posting on the PlayStation Blog, EA has shared the details of the highly anticipated Star Wars videogame's open beta, announcing that the beta will run from October 6 to October 9. Gamers who've pre-ordered the game can make an early start, checking out the beta on October 4. Players who take part in the beta get to play the Galactic Assault on Naboo where 40 players fight it out on the streets of Theed either as part of the Separatist Droid Army or the Republic Clones. There are four trooper classes that gamer can choose from: Heavy, Assault, Officer and Specialist. Gamers can also control iconic Star Wars heroes and prequel-era vehicles in the game.

But that's not the only mode EA Dice is offering during open beta. Gamers can also try out the Multiplayer Starfight Assault, and though the developer hasn't shared anything yet, EA Dice does promise that they'll let fans in on the secret soon enough.

Star Wars Battlefont II releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 17, 2017.
