E3: Death Stranding Gets Gameplay Trailer, Still Weird as Hell

During Sony's E3 press conference we finally got a gameplay trailer for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding and if you were hoping it would be less weird, you are wrong. Still, finally seeing the game in action was interesting even if the lead character, played by Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead, barely did anything.

For the most part, they showed off what seems to be the game's open-world. It's beautiful for sure and has a lot of impressive-looking terrains, so players hoping the game would look good won't be disappointed. The lack of anything happening was a bit disappointing but it's better than nothing.

It starts off simply enough with Norman Reedus' character exploring some terrain but it also has a section where he uses a baby-powered light to avoid ghost. The game continues to be a trippy experience with celebrities but at least we know it's an open-world game with stealth and maybe horror elements?

Two other celebrities have been added to the game; Spectre star Lea Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner. Seydoux's character actually helps out Reedus in the trailer, making sure he doesn't get killed by an invisible creature teased in previous videos. Wagner just stands there in the end, though she does appear in one of the areas teased from the first trailer.

Death Stranding continues to confuse. No release date was announced.
