E3 2017: Destiny 2’s PS4 Exclusive Items, Beta Dates Revealed

PS4 players are getting another bump up in the exclusive items department for Destiny 2.

At its E3 2017 presentation (via IGN), developer Bungie has unveiled some of the exclusive items, and they're no joke.

Among the items are an exclusive strike called Lake of Shadows, the exclusive ship City Apex, an exclusive exotic Weapon Borealis, and the Retribution PVP map.

If those seem really cool and you're not playing on the PS4, worry not. Bungie will continue the tradition of making these PS4-exclusive items only timed exclusives. Come fall of 2018, Bungie will open the items to other players.

Apart from the exclusive items, the developer has just recently announced the beta dates to open the game for players to experience. For the PS4 and Xbox One, beta will start as early as July. Considering the release date on these platforms first, this is reasonable for Bungie to be able to fix a few of the bugs and deliver a first patch.

For PC players, you can ready yourselves for a beta opening sometime in August. The timelines of Bungie aren't so bad—right now I'm just happy that they were finally able to roll out plans for Destiny 2, which has been quite a while in the making.

Destiny 2 will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One on Sept. 2. PC players will have to wait a few weeks longer when it releases sometime in October.
