Dragon Ball Super Writer Bids Farewell and Thanks Fans Ahead of Series Finale

Toei Animation has three more Dragon Ball Super episodes to air before it ends this March but there are still loose threads that fans want to see resolve and it's unlikely that the series will tie them all up by within the last three episodes. Earlier this month, the cast for Dragon Ball Super wrapped up production, and now, series writer Toshio has taken it to social media to express his gratitude and say farewell to fans.

"I can't thank you enough. I am full of gratitude," Toshio wrote. "DBS fans are the best. I won't forget evreyone. Goodbye. Until we meet again!"

Toshio didn't drop any hints about a future Dragon Ball series. "Until we meet again!" is open-ended and could refer to the new feature film coming later this year. With the amount of money the Dragon Ball franchise is making right now and the fact that there are still a lot of unresolved plot points in the series, it's unlikely that Akira Toriyama's anime franchise will actually end soon. They're probably just taking a long hiatus.

Dragon Ball Super is set to air on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon.
