Dragon Ball FighterZ Nintendo Switch Western Release Includes Unreleased SNES Game

When Dragon Ball Z: Super Butodenwas announced as the Japanese pre-order bonus for Dragon Ball FighterZ on Switch, many assumed that it would be exclusive to Japan since it's an obscure SNES game. It turns out that isn't the case as Bandai Namco has announced that Western fans will be able to get Super Butoden as a pre-order bonus as well.

This is a huge surprise and should get many Switch players to pre-order FighterZ, even if they own a previously released version of the game. Prior to this, fans could only get their hands on the game via illegal means, so this is a really nice bonus.

Unfortunately, Super Butoden will remain Japanese when it comes out, though it seems easy enough to understand. It is a fighting game after all and we can only hope that this leads to more Dragon Ball SNES ports.

Bandai Namco also announced that this version of FighterZ would be coming out on September 28, so Switch fans will have to wait a bit. Still, getting a port of a rare Dragon Ball game should make the wait a bit worth it.

Fans should be able to pre-order the Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ by talking to participating retailers. Digital pre-orders will open in a few days.
