Donald Glover: Solo is 'a Lot More Fun' Compared to Other Star Wars Movies

Donald Glover is one talented actor, and not just in terms of acting, but also in the fact that he also writes comedy and manages a musical career. He's also starring in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story, and he says that this movie will one of the more fun Star Wars films compared to previous entries.

Talking to ET, Glover was asked to compare Solo to the rest of the Star Wars movies to which he replied:

"I think it's just a lot more fun. All the Star Wars [movies] are really fun, but I think this movie, we know what's going to happen, we know they're not going to die, ya know? We know, kind of, what happens, but how we got there, I guess, is the crux of it. So we're allowed to have a lot more fun than I think the other movies where you have to deal with a lot of the lineage in what's going to happen. I think this movie's, like, just a fun, summer film. I'm really excited about it. It's really cool."

Before all the controversy came out that Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired from directing the movie, there was a lot of news on how great was the script Lawrence Kasdan and his son came up with. It was even said that Lord and Miller were fired because their improvisations had started to deviate from the script, and Ron Howard was asked to steer the movie back in the right direction—or at least a direction that Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy was happy with.

A lot of people agree that Glover was a fantastic piece of casting for Solo, and they're excited to see his Lando Calrissian come to life on the big screen; even more than they're excited to see Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo.

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out May 25.
