Donald Glover Didn't Reshoot Much Of His Work On Solo: A Star Wars Story

The production for Solo: A Star Wars Story was one hell of a rollercoaster ride for Luacsfilm, what with them firing directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller so far into production and having Ron Howard reshoot a huge portion of the film. As it turns out, Donald Glover, who is the new Lando Calrissian, didn't reshoot most of the work that he did—contrary to what the rumors were saying.

During a press tour for the TCA (via SlashFilm), Glover had this to say about reshoots:

"Not a ton actually. Not a lot at all, at least not for me. I think we've all never been faced with anything like that and I think [Ron Howard] did a good job of coming and tell us he didn't want to change what we were doing at all. He wanted us to remain confident in our vision. He just wanted to sculpt it in a way."

When news got out that Howard was taking over, several rumors had popped up online about a huge chunk of the film getting reshot as well as rumors that lead actor Alden Ehrenreich "can't act." With no trailer in sight for the film, a lot of fans are still quite unsold for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

My guess is that Lucasfilm is still busy peddling The Last Jedi in theaters. By the time all the hype is done, I have a feeling that promotion will start like crazy for Solo. It's just a matter of timing, but hopefully we get our first trailer soon. The movie comes out in a few months and the lack of a trailer is making fans go nuts online.

Solo: A Star Wars Story comes out May 25.
