Deadpool Director Clears the Air About His Exit From Project

Tim Miller's exit as Deadpool 2 director may have been one of the harder incidences to accept, if only because we already know that Deadpool was the success it needed to be.

And while the sequel already has a director attached, there's still the lingering question of what if Miller had continued on with the project. In an interview Miller had decided to break his silence and expound on what exactly those "creative differences" could be that led to the exit.

In an interview with CG Garage (via Comicbook.com), Miller revealed that these differences may lie in the fact that he had wanted to repeat the treatment that was done for Deadpool to see its sequel's success. And that's where he may have butted heads with the execs.

"I didn't want to make some stylized movie that was 3 times the budget… I wanted to make the same kind of movie that we made before because I think that's the right movie to make for the character. So don't believe what you read on the Internet."

Miller had also debunked being the sole reason for the exit—that is, he wasn't as dead-set in casting a particular actor to be Cable. So that isn't the reason for why he had left.

Still, Miller is not leaving the production with a grudge. His focus is on the characters involved, and like any other geek who had been given the task to transform a favorite in life, he wants nothing but success for the future of Deadpool 2.

"Because I love the character and I think it's great, and I love all the actors and I want to see them successful again. I haven't met David, but he's a great guy from everything I‘ve heard."

Currently, Deadpool 2 doesn't have any dates for filming or theatrical release, except the March 2017 deadline.
