Deadpool 2 finished production early in October this year and now the sequel to the R-Rated success that is the Merc with a Mouth's (Ryan Reynolds) solo movie finally has its first teaser trailer.
Hiding in a playful "wet on wet" painting instruction video by Deadpool, the teaser shows off all of the action waiting for fans when Deadpool 2 comes around during the summer next year. The actual teaser doesn't last for very long – just a few toaster oven seconds in a two-minute-long clip, really – but fans will love the brassy humor sprinkled around the whole "wet on wet" painting instruction by the Merc with a Mouth.
"Getting Wet on Wet with Deadpool 2" couldn't be any funnier. Not only does the video give colors names like "Clockwork Orange," "Betty White," "Box Office," it also talks a lot about getting "high as a kite", doing cocaine, and whacking off because "this is your world, you can make and break the rules here."
Once the video starts hanging up because of "technical difficulties," fans get to see the actual Deadpool 2 teaser spliced with a lot of action-packed clips where the Merc with a Mouth goes on a trigger-happy rampage, reunites with his girlfriend, goes on a cool slow-mo walk with that taxi driver everyone loved from the first Deadpool, Dopinder (Karan Soni) and then does a bunch of other cool stuff. We also get to see a few short shots of Negasonic Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Domino (Zazie Beetz) and Weasel (T.J. Miller).
Promising loads of irreverent and self-referential humor, Deadpool 2 is shaping to be a fun romp with Director David Leitch and Reynolds working together.
Deadpool 2 makes its big premiere on June 1, 2018.
