Deadpool 2: Ryan Reynolds Makes Fun Of Spider-Man In New Set Photo

Photos from the set of Deadpool 2 are finding themselves online everyday, and Ryan Reynolds has just posted another one of him with the Vancouver Police Department. What's funny is that he's also posing as Spider-Man in the shot.

People who read the comics will know that it's a common joke for Deadpool to be mistaken as Spider-Man. The two also frequently team-up as well—such as shame that the rights of the characters belong to another studio. Just imagine all the fun team-ups if Deadpool can fool around in the MCU.

I think it's funny that Deadpool is more recognizable than the actual character he was based on—DC's Deathstroke. You may say that he's his own hero now, but if you take the two side-by-side, you'll notice that both are ninja mercenaries proficient in using guns and katanas, both wear full-face masks, both have names that sound alike, and even their alter egos sound the same—Wade Wilson and Slade Wilson? That's not just a coincidence.

Though production may seem to have been in trouble at the start, things look to be going smoothly with Deadpool 2. After the roller coaster that was Atomic Blonde, I'm actually excited for what David Leitch has to bring to the table.

Deadpool 2 is set to come out June 1, 2018.
