20th Century Fox successful R-rated comic book film, Deadpool, is officially getting a sequel.
According to Variety, studio co-chairman Stacey announced at CinemaCon that Deadpool 2 is indeed in development, with direct director Tim Miller returning to direct and Ryan Reynolds as the smart-mouthed antihero.
Fox also confirmed that it's bringing back the entire creative team behind the first Deadpool film, with writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese returning to write the script for the sequel.
Deadpool 2's announcement hardly comes as a surprise as the first film dominated the box office earlier this year. Avatar actor Stephen Lang was even campaigning to play Cable back in January.
