CW Boss Admits Supergirl “Should Have Been” With Them From The Start

The CBS / The CW has finally admitted that Supergirl "should have been [with them] in the first place."

The CW president Mark Pedowiz unveiled the company's fall schedule Thursday morning during a conference with reporters when he was asked how Supergirl could change having changed homes.

Pedowitz said:

We are sitting down with Greg Berlanti and his team next week or so.
We have a rough idea where they're heading and, because our working relationship with Greg, we're confident they understand what our needs are. As for the tone or tonality of the series, they did have a pretty successful series. The fact it's now moved to The CW, where it should have been in the first place, I don't think it will have a big impact on the tone.

Right now, The CW only has three other DC Comics shows (The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow), all of which are executive produced by the same man behind Supergirl, Greg Berlanti.

Well, the move certainly makes sense and many have wondered why Supergirl wasn't with the network right from the start.

Pedowitz said:

This is a good thing for The CW, our parent companies [Warner Bros. and CBS Corp.] recognized this was the right place for it, and were deeply supportive across the board.

The executive also swore that The CW's upcoming annual DC series crossover event will be "the biggest one ever."

Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on The CW, same as CBS.
