Could Matt Damon Really Have A Cameo In Thor: Ragnarok?

It might sound like a long shot, but word on the rumor mill has it that Matt Damon might be making a surprise appearance in Taika Waititi's superhero space buddy movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

Though it might not really mean anything, speculation that Damon might have a cameo in Marvel's last film of the year has gotten even worse after The Martian and Jason Bourne star crashed Chris Hemsworth's interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Sitting down with the late night talk show host to discuss his third and final Thor solo, Hemsworth got a few good minutes talking about what it was like working with Ragnarok co-star Mark Ruffalo and director Taika Waititi when Kimmel decided to shift the camera backstage to talk with the Hulk star.

While talking with Ruffalo, Damon suddenly video bombed the interview, crawling his way up into the shot. The cameraman tried to shift back to Ruffalo and Waititi who was sitting on the couch next to the Marvel Star, but the Good Will Hunting star managed to sneak himself into the shot again. Then during the very end when the focus went back to Kimmel and Hemsworth on stage, Damon broadcasted a live feed of his face on the show's jumbo screen.

It's a pretty hilarious video and while it may seem innocent enough, the prank is adding fuel to the rumors that Damon has a cameo in Ragnarok. Last month there were reports that Damon was playing an unannounced role in the film, and though it might seem a bit farfetched, this little stunt certainly adds fire to the rumors.

Let's just wait and see what happens.

Thor: Ragnarok premieres December 15, 2017.
