Could John Boyega Be Giving Fans A Plot Teaser For Star Wars: Episode IX?

Lucasfilm might not be ready to give that much information about Star Wars: Episode IX while fans are anticipating the release of Solo: A Star Wars this year, but it looks like John Boyega doesn't mind giving fans hints.

The Star Wars actor just recently went on an Awesome Con conference call ( via Star Wars News Net) and during the interview, Boyega spoke about the upcoming shoot for The Last Jedi's sequel in July.

"Next for me filming-wise is Star Wars Episode 9 in July, and they've officially given us a note to start training soon," Boyega told fans over the call. ""I'm going to take a holiday before that, because I think Episode 9, you know, regardless of where the story goes – and I haven't read it, by the way – is going to be all-out war, so I know that I'm going to have to do all I can and train for that."

It's interesting when Boyega says that Episode IX is going to be an all-out war. Does the stormtrooper-turned-Resistance-fighter mean that fans should expect an epic battle between the First Order and the Resistance in Episode IX? Or does he mean that it's going to be tough work for the cast and crew of the film?

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. July isn't that far away and we're sure that set photos might make their way online.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently available on Digital HD. The film will be made available on DVD and Blu-Ray on March 27. Star Wars: Episode IX on the other hand premieres December 20, 2019.
