Could Disney Really Be Planning To Turn Brie Larson Into A Jedi?

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson may have yet to debut as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's strongest Avenger, but it looks like Disney might already have plans to put Larson in a different franchise – the Star Wars franchise.

Earlier this month, Larson revealed that her Captain Marvel Nick Fury co-star Samuel L. Jackson would let her hold his lightsaber while working on the set of the film. Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress gushed about the situation, saying that she would want to be a Jedi someday.

"I got to hold [Samuel L Jackson's] lightsaber! He brought it to me on set on May the 4th, and I cried. It was so cool. I wanna be a Jedi," the actress told the entertainment news outlet.

Star Wars was keen on responding to the actress request to become a Jedi, because as soon as it heard about the tweet, the official Star Wars Twitter account responded to Larson's post, making some wonder whether Disney might be actually making for room as a new Jedi master.

Sharing Larson's quote on Twitter, the Star Wars account soon greeted the actress with a warm "The Force Is definitely with you Captain."

The back and forth exchange between the two might have been enough to convince fans that Larson really wants to turn into a Jedi, but the actress response to Lucasfilm's post sounds a little bit self-assured.

"Honored to be an intergalactic hero with you!" the actress wrote back.

Could Disney really be thinking of bringing Larson into the Star Wars saga?

It might seem rather unlikely now knowing that Larson has a long career ahead of her in the MCU, but who knows. Disney might be open to having the actress in both the Marvel and Star Wars franchise.

Captain Marvel premieres March 8.
