Chris Hemsworth Jokes About Auditioning To Join The DCEU

Chris Hemsworth might be the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Thor, but his royal duties as the Asgardian God of Thunder can't really keep the Australian Hollywood star from joining the DC Extended Universe.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote Marvel's last film of the year, Thor: Ragnarok, Hemsworth playfully joked about joining the rival comic book studio's, saying that he had an audition with Warner Bros. right after the show.

Sitting down with Jimmy Kimmel on the late night talk show, Hemsworth was complimented on his velvety green suit, and the actor was quick to compare the jacket to one of Batman's classic villains, The Riddler.

"I have a Riddler audition after this, so," Hemsworth laughed.

Taking the joke a bit seriously, Kimmel decided to ask whether or not the Marvel star could really join the DC Extended Universe while keeping such a pivotal role in the MCU.

"Depends on the cost, the payment," Hemsworth quipped. "If it's eight dollars an hour, sure."

Of course, Hemsworth's jokes are all in good fun. It's very unlikely that Marvel would let Thor run away to join Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Mamoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher in the DCEU and fans would definitely hound Hemsworth if he even tried.

Thor: Ragnarok premieres on November 3, 2017.
