Chris Evans on Coming Back to the MCU After Avengers 4: 'We'll See'

It's been revealed publicly that Avengers 4 will be Chris Evans last appearance as Captain America in the MCU, but now Evans is giving a little hope to fans who might want to see more of him sometime after the end of Phase 3.

Talking to GMA, Evans explained:

"Well, the contract's done. A lot of our contracts are through. Myself, [Robert] Downey, [Chris] Hemsworth, we all kind of started roughly at the same time. I mean, I think we all through Avengers 4 kind of wrap it up. But at this point I don't know what's next, but yeah by 2019 that's it… Well, we'll see."

With Captain America being one of the biggest heroes in the MCU, a lot of people are convinced that we'll be seeing someone take up the mantle. So far, everyone's top two picks are Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) and Sam Wilson (Falcon).

If we're going to see more of Evans' Captain America, I think he would be more of a cameo from now on. There're probably more PSAs of him a la Spider-Man: Homecoming sitting around, and I am interested in seeing some more period pieces from the MCU—maybe Cap can be in one of them?

For now, catch Evans in Avengers: Infinity War which comes out April 27.
