New and Final Trailer for Stephen King’s Pet Sematary Released

After the successful reboot of IT, Hollywood is seeing a new renaissance of Stephen King films. This month will see the release of the remake for Pet Sematary, and Paramount has released the final trailer for the film.

This is the official description:

Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, (#StephenKing) #PetSematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family's new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (#JohnLithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.

With the IT reboot giving new twists to the story to make it more exciting, the same thing seems to be done with this Pet Sematary movie. As the critics have said, knowing the story beforehand didn't prepare them for this film, and that would probably be a treat for people who are already familiar with the material.

If anything, the film actually looks pretty fun. With the month gearing up for the release of superhero movies like Shazam! and Avengers: Infinity War, I'm sure Pet Sematary would be a nice break from the formula. Maybe it can even get people hyped up for the release of IT: Chapter Two later this year.

Catch Pet Sematary when it premieres April 5.
