Charles Dance's Role in Godzilla: King of Monsters Revealed

Charles Dance is a veteran actor, but he's probably best known for playing Tywin Lannister on Game of Thrones. Dance is set to appear in the Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of Monsters, and some news has come out on who he's playing in the movie.

According to Discussing Film, Dance will be playing a terrorist leader of some sorts who functions just like Hannibal Chau (Ron Perlman) from Pacific Rim. They write:

In Godzilla 2: King of Monsters, Charles Dance will be playing a terrorist leader who Warner Bros./Legendary's TITANS/Kaiju Cinematic Universe likely have bigger plans in store for. He works in a black market that circulates whatever resources that can be gathered from monsters (also known as TITANS now in the universe) and their remains.

The site also notes that Dance's role is only minor in the movie, but he will have something to do with the film's after-credits scene—which will probably build up to the release of Godzilla vs. Kong in 2020.

Besides Dance, Godzilla: King of Monsters also has a human cast which includes the likes of Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Sally Hawkins, Bardley Whitford, and Thomas Middleditch. Ken Watanabe will also be reprising his role from 2014's Godzilla, and of course, we also have appearances from classic Kaiju Godzilla, King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan.

We still don't have a trailer as of now, but we should catch Godzilla: King of Monsters in theaters May 31, 2019.
