Cartoon Network has breathed new life into The Powerpuff Girls, and it looks like they're going to be shaking things up. According to Entertainment Weekly, the trio of superheroines will soon be a quartet as a new PPG will be entering the fray.

As per EW, the fourth member of the Powerpuff Girls will be introduced in barely a week, and she is still unnamed as of now. PPG #4 will be introduced in the five-part movie event, The Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four, and it will air Sept. 17, Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET.

People who watched the old school PPG will remember that there was an episode where the girls had created their own sister in the form of ‘Bunny,' but the experiment went awry which resulted in a mutated (but gentle) version of themselves. Based on the teaser image, this new girl will probably be just like the rest of the girls, and hopefully she'll be staying for more than just one episode.

With The Powerpuff Girls being one of the most iconic shows on CN, I'm guessing a lot of fans will be wondering what this fourth girl will bring to the table. A part of me is thinking that this fourth version will turn out secretly evil, but I'm still open to another addition to the PPG family.

Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four premieres Sept. 17 on CN, Sunday, 5:30 p.m. ET.
