Carrie Fisher to Appear in Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016

Lucasfilm just announced that Carrie Fisher, who famously portrayed Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy and portrays General Leia Organa in last year's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, will make an appearance in this year's Star Wars Celebration Europe.

The 59-year-old actress has constantly been a Celebration favorite and it's certain that her appearance in London this July will be the event's most highly anticipated. She is among the many guests that the three-day event is set to feature, including Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director Gareth Edwards and Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill.

David Collins and Warwick Davis are set to host this year's Celebration, while Amy Ratcliffe will host the scenes behind the stage.

With Star Wars Celebration Europe drawing near, these kinds of announcements are becoming more rampant, so expect more news to arrive soon.

The event will be held at the Excel London Exhibition Centre from July 15 to 17.
