Carrie Fisher Hospitalized After Heart Attack on Plane

On Christmas, Carrie Fisher's mother Debbie Reynolds tweeted a picture with a statement saying that "Carrie is in stable condition" and that if there are any changes, she will share it. Debbie also thanked the outpouring of fans and celebrities who have been wishing her daughter well during this tough time. More details here.

Todd Fisher told ET that Carrie Fisher is currently in the Intensive Care Unit, saying, "she is being well looked after... If everyone could just pray for her that would be good. The doctors are doing their thing and we don't want to bug them. We are waiting by patiently." Despite the previous good news that Carrie was in stable condition, it looks like things are still uncertain. Todd went on to tell ET, "We certainly do not know her condition, that's why she is in ICU. I'm sure everyone wants to speculate, but now is not the time for that." Read here.

Carrie Fisher suffered a massive heart attack on a plane flight this Friday. According to TMZ, Carrie was flying from London to LAX when she suffered cardiac arrest and was administered CPR. E online also reported that an EMT happened to be on board the flight and assisted Carrie.

The whole ordeal happened less than 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to land. Immediately after landing she was rushed by paramedics to a hospital.

Erik Scott, a representative for the LA Fire Department, gave a statement to the USA Today saying:

"At 12:11 pm the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call from LAX for a patient that was in cardiac arrest... firefighter paramedics provided advanced life support and aggressively treated the patient whom was transported to a local hospital."

Carrie fisher is best known for portraying Princess Leia in the Star Wars saga, and recently published a book, The Princess Diarist. She is age 60.
