Captain Marvel Graces the Cover of Entertainment Weekly

Brie Larson teased yesterday that there would be a big Captain Marvel reveal today, and boy, did she deliver. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we finally have an image of Larson in classic blue, red, and yellow Captain Marvel gear; and she's gracing the new copy of EW.

Early set photos of Larson featured her in a green suit, and the new photos confirm that it's a standard uniform for the elite Kree military team, Starforce. We don't know how Carol Danvers will get the color change, but the shape and symbols on the suit are basically the same.

Though the MCU has been going on swimmingly for 10 years, it has had its criticism for not presenting a main female superhero. Sure we already have the likes of Black Widow and the Wasp, but they're more of side characters to ‘main' heroes like Captain America and Ant-Man.

Hopefully Captain Marvel manages to become the Wonder Woman that the MCU needs. She may not be as popular as WW, but nobody knew about the Guardians of the Galaxy before 2014; now everyone loves characters like Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

Captain Marvel is slated for a release on March 8, 2019.
