Bulbasaur is Only the Second Pokemon Funko Pop Ever Made


When you consider the number of licenses that Funko makes Pops for, it's hard to believe but there is only one Pokemon Funko Pop and the second one was just announced. Unsurprisingly, the first one was Pikachu since the character is the franchise's mascot so the Electric-type was the obvious choice. Funko has now unveiled their second Pop for the series and it's the first Pokemon ever discovered; Bulbasaur.

That's right, everyone's favorite Grass-type starter is now available for pre-order and it's a Pop that looks great. Most Funko Pops have similar poses and faces so seeing Bulbasaur look just like what we've seen in the games, minus the eyes that are classic Funko, and you've got a winner. Let's hope that future Pops in the Pokemon lineup look this good.

ComicBook.com has stated that the Bulbasaur Funko Pop will be shipped this March, so if you're a fan of this adorable Pokemon or simply want to add this to your collection, do it now. It looks great, is based on one of the best Pokemon ever made and designed, what's there to complain about?

Bulbasaur was one of the three starters from the original Pokemon games, joining other iconic starters like Charmander and Squirtle. Though other starter Pokemon would leave an impact, few would resonate with fans like the original three from Red and Blue have.
