Brie Larson Starts Flight Training For Captain Marvel

Brie Larson's hard at work getting ready for her role as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Captain Marvel.

There's a lot of excitement pooling around as Marvel fans wait for the franchise's very first female-led superhero film, and it seems like Captain Marvel's lead star is making sure that she gets her character right.

Taking to Twitter, Larson gave fans a look at one of her flight training sessions in preparation for her role as Carol Danvers. Marvel Studios has scheduled Captain Marvel's production for February this year, and it seems like Larson doesn't want to walk in to the set unprepared.

There isn't that much information on the film's plot just yet, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed last year that the film would go back and explore the events of the MCU during the 90's. For those who aren't familiar with the character, Carol Danvers is a former member of the United States Air Force. The pilot's life changes after she finds herself in an explosion by a device by the Kree. Danver's genes fuse with the genes of the alien's, giving her powers like super strength, flight, precognitive abilities, and the absorption and projection of energy.

Captain Marvel is set for release on March 8, 2019.
