Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Get More Cast Members

The spinoff to the original manga Naruto Shippuden is also continue the homage of design within the family. the studio has recently released a statement to Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump.

Here, more names have been tagged to play a couple of roles for Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime (via Anime News Network). For those who have already watched Boruto: Naruto the Movie, the new names may be familiar as they are returning ones from that movie.

Kensho Ono as Shikadai Nara

Ryoko Shiraishi as Chucho Akimichi

Atusushi Abe as Inokin Yamanaka

Nana Mizuki as Hiinata Uzumaki

Saori Hayami as Himawari Uzumaki

Showtaro Morikubo as Hikamaru Nana

Shinji Kawada as Shio Aburame

They will be joining the new cast led by Boruto (You Sanpei), Sarada Uchiha (Kokoro Kikuchi), Mitsuki (Ryuichi Kijima), and Naruto (Junko Takeuchi).

Despite the familiar characters, it's understood that Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will focus on introducing a new story, which makes it an entirely different beast for the starters.

The anime is supposed to be set after Naruto Shippuden, so there may still be a bit of continuity in as far as what the elements and characters that we'll be seeing on TV.
