Bob Iger Offers Minor Update on Black Panther 2

Black Panther is one of the highest-rated Marvel movies out there and fans cannot wait to see what Black Panther 2 is going to be like. Very little is known about the upcoming Black Panther sequel, aside from Ryan Coogler returning to direct and write it. Martin Freeman also confirmed that he would be returning for the sequel, along with most of the movie's leading cast.

Well, it looks like we won't be seeing much of Black Panther 2 for a while since Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that Coogler is only "beginning the process of outlining the story," which means that they're in the draft phase. Since the movie is supposedly scheduled to shoot in 2021, Coogler does have a lot of time on his hands.

Like I mentioned previously, details on the sequel are sparse, though we can assume that things have changed in Wakanda since T'Challa's disappearance. It wouldn't be too surprising if Okoye were still in charge but T'Challa could always wrestle the throne from her, though that would be a controversial move.

I just hope that they don't bring back Killmonger since he had a pretty great death, even if it came from some really bad CGI. Still, it would stilt some of the progress made from the first movie and we want the sequel to move forward and improve on everything. That's what all good sequels do after all.

Black Panther 2 is scheduled for a May 6, 2022 release.
