Blue Period Episode 5 Recap
As the exams come closer, prep school students are divided into smaller groups for some serious studying. In addition to prep school, Yatora visits his regular school, due to his deep appreciation for the people who helped him get into art.
His art teacher encourages him to try a larger-scale painting. While Yatora is unsure at first, an exquisite painting by Mori inspires him once again. He might have missed the opportunity to meet his old senpai, but her influence on him is still quite strong, making Mori an important presence in the anime.
Yatora's experiment goes unexpectedly well. However, when he uses a very similar piece for an art competition, he comes third to last. Apparently, copying a work of art one succeeded in previously is no recipe for success.
Thankfully, this failure only increases our many character's determination to make the most of the remaining two months until the exams. By the end of the episode, Yotasuke calls Yatora, asking him to meet up.

Blue Period Episode 6 has already aired on Netflix Japan. Outside of Japan, it will be available on Netflix from the 13th of November onwards. Before, Netflix used to host completed shows, which you could binge at once. Therefore, this is an interesting allowance, as we can still catch up with this beautiful, heartwarming anime.
