Blade Runner’s “Brutal” Universe Has Officer K Questioning His Identity

It looks like the Blade Runner universe is going to be even more brutal when fans return to Rick Deckard's (Harrison Ford) world in the highly anticipated Blade Runner 2049.

Though he tries not to give out too much information before the Blade Runner sequel hits cinemas this October, Blade Runner 2049 star Ryan Gosling decides to discuss the film's tone. Speaking with Empire, the critically-acclaimed actor reveals that times are turbulent in the science fiction movie, indicating that his character Officer K will be forced to question his own identity.

"The world has become more brutal. People are trying to survive. [K] discovers a mystery that makes him question his own identity, and Deckard is the only one who can answer those questions."

Things are certainly going to be grim in Blade Runner 2049 and at some point we'll see a lot of tension rising between the Deckard and Officer K. The two didn't really seem to get along in the film's trailer and a new image which was released by the publication shows Deckard pointing the gun at the new Blade Runner. Check it out down below:
