Black Widow Star May Be Reprising Role in Shang-Chi Movie

It looks like Marvel fans are going to see another Marvel character make it into another film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe once Black Widow premieres later this year.

In Black Widow, fans are going to see Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) face a massive army of Black Widows, including a Red Room Warrior played by the stunt actress Jade Xu.

Xu might have a minimal role in Johansson's upcoming standalone movie, but according to a report by Comic Book Resources, the stunt actress has also been listed as one of the cast members appearing in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

That's not all, of course. The official Instagram account for the actress shows that Xu has been in Australia to complete the production of Shang-Chi.

Could Xu's Black Widow character be making an appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings? Or could the stunt performer be doubling for Fah Lo Suee, a character played by Awkwafina?

We can't really tell right now, but we'll probably be getting more information on Xu's character once Marvel Studios becomes fully operational again.

The entertainment industry has been greatly affected by the spread of the novel coronavirus. Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic forced theaters to shut down, thereby forcing studios to delay the release of highly anticipated films, but the outbreak has also forced studios to cancel the production of upcoming film and television projects.

Marvel has been one of those affected by the pandemic. We'll have to wait for production to continue to learn more about Xu's role.
