Black Panther Will Pass $500 Million At Worldwide Box Office Before The End Of The Day

It hasn't been a week since Black Panther's big premiere in the US but it looks like Marvel's standalone movie for the King of Wakanda is expected to move past $500 million at the global box office before the day ends.

Exhibitor Relations Co. has been tracking Black Panther's earnings on Twitter and according to Box Office reporting group, the film's just made $14.5 million yesterday, adding on to the film's overhaul haul. Black Panther's grand total now adds up to $491 million, and analysts at the company expect the film to move past the $500 million mark at the global box office before the end of the day.

The film also has the highest Wednesday earnings in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beating out The Avengers $13.6 million Wednesday earning back when it had its theatrical run. Though Black Panther still has to beat The Avengers massive $1.5 billion global earnings, the film doesn't seem to be slowing down. This is the film's first week in cinemas in the US, and though we're expecting the box office earnings to take a dip once it enters its second week, we're fairly certain that Black Panther will come close to a billion in its run.

Black Panther is currently screening in cinemas.
