Black Panther 2’s Namor Wants To Meet Two Dead MCU Heroes

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is around the corner and is set to introduce new characters into the MCU, namely, Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) who is a young Tony Stark version soon to become Ironheart with her own series, and Tenoch Huerta’s Namor, the underwater mutant King who wants to protect his people from those living on the surface. Recently, Tenoch Huerta name dropped the 2 MCU heroes he longs to meet, even though they’re already canonically dead in the franchise.

Speaking on a red carpet interview with Jake’s Takes, Huerta was quick to reply which characters outside of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever that Namor would be interested in encountering. Read his full quote below:

“I mean, it would be great to meet Iron Man, you know? Black Widow, I think would be great. I admire both of them. And yeah, those characters were so good.”

It’s a shame Tenoch Huerta had not been a part of the first Black Panther movie. Otherwise, he would have been able to fight in Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame. Then maybe he would have met Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.

But hey, this doesn’t mean there’s no hope of him encountering the two beloved ‘original’ Avengers. After all, since the Multiverse of Madness happened, it opened the possibility of alternate dimensions and existing universes. With Disney+ What If…? being the ultimate form of ‘endless possibilities’, it would be likely that Namor, or in any other potential role for Huerta, could be a part of the project as its second season is expected to premiere in early 2023, following a third season in development.

Catch Tenoch Huerta as Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, premiering on November 11.
