Billie Lourd Honors Carrie Fisher On Mother’s Day

The world mourned when Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher passed away in December last year. The actress, comedian, writer and mental health activist had contributed a lot, inspiring many with her work inside and outside of the Star Wars franchise.

To pay honor to her mother, Scream Queens actress Billie Lourd has just recently shared a photo of herself along with Carrie back when she was younger. In the image, we get to see Lourd on top of Carrie's lap while taking a ride on the train car. Carrie is smiling while her daughter covers her upper lip with her tongue in front of the camera – an snapshot of one of the happy moments between mother and child. Check out the photo down here:

Carrie may have passed away after suffering from cardiac arrest in flight from London to Los Angeles last year, however many still feel the pain of losing the Star Wars legend, especially the actress' family. Captioned with a single heart, one can feel how Lourd might be feeling remembering her time with her mother.

The young actress was very close with her mother and had even starred alongside Carrie's General Organa in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as Lieutenant Connix. Lourd will return along with her mother in the upcoming sequel trilogy installment, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the film with Carrie's final film appearance.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres on Dec.15, 2017.
