Before He Became Joker, Joaquin Phoenix Was...Superboy?

DC fans are currently freaking out over a number of things. First, there's Shazam, which is proving to be another big win for DC and is turning the tide for them, which is always good to hear. Then, there's Joker, which will be the first standalone DC movie released in a while, not related to anything in the DCEU. Everyone is raving over how good/weird the film looks and Joaquin Phoenix seems to be giving his all.

So, DC fans will be really interested to know that Phoenix actually appeared in the ‘80s Superboy show. No, he wasn't the lead star (like the article's title implied), but he did appear in the show as Little Hercules and actually donned the Superboy costume for a bit. It's kind of cringe-inducing but this was a superhero show in the ‘80s.

It might not be something Phoenix is proud off but it is fascinating seeing someone look like a goof as a kid now portray someone who will be a disturbing figure for many generations to come. Hopefully.

Please be good.

Joker will be coming out on October 4 and isn't expected to be in the DCEU. It looks like we won't be seeing Batman in this movie either.
