Batman: The Enemy Within Changes The Harley/Joker Dynamic

Batman: The Telltale Series laid the foundation for a unique experience starring the Dark Knight. The first game altered some of the character's history so that the story could take players and experienced Bat aficionados for a ride. It looks like the sequel, Batman: The Enemy Within will continue that tradition by changing how some of the villains work, including Harley Quinn and the Joker.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the character, IGN released a short clip of the anti-hero, who is a straight-up villain in The Enemy Within. Unlike previous iterations of the character, Harley is the one who has complete control over Joker. In fact, Joker is the one who is head over heels for Harley, which makes the dynamic much more unique.

Of all the iterations of these characters, it's surprising to know that this is the first time Joker and Harley's relationship was inverted like this. It definitely keeps the game unpredictable, so we have to give Telltale Games some props for this. Changing the Bat-mythos can lead to bad results, but this one was a good move.

Fans can check out the first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within now. The second episode, which has the debut of this Harley Quinn, will be available this Tuesday on consoles and PC.
