Batman Returns Star Danny DeVito has Awesome Advice for New Penguin Colin Farrell

We may be getting a new Penguin in The Batman but will he be better than Danny DeVito's version of the DC comic book supervillain? DeVito has just shared his thoughts on Colin Farrell taking over the role and even shared some great advice for the new Oswald Cobblepott.

DeVito recently spoke to Collider to promote his new movie The One and Only Ivan but he was also asked if he would offer any tips for Farrell. Interestingly, the veteran actor expressed his admiration for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them actor who had worked with in the live-action adaptation of Dumbo.

"I haven't spoken to him since, but I'm really looking forward to it. I think that no matter what, he's gonna be great because he's a great actor," DeVito said. He then joked about the one problem that Farrell may encounter in the future.

"The only thing he has to worry about is that Oswald Cobblepot will show up at his house …" DeVito said before giving the classic Penguin grunt he did when he once played the character.

DeVito originally played Penguin in Batman Returns, which also starred Michael Keaton who is now expected to reprise his own role as Bruce Wayne in The Flash. For now, you can hear DeVito's voice in The One and Only Ivan, which premieres on Disney+ on August 21.

The Batman will be directed by Matt Reeves and star Robert Pattinson as the new Caped Crusader. The film is currently in production and is still scheduled for release on October 1, 2021.
