Batman Board Game Will Be Crowdfunded

Batman has figured in a lot of videogames as of late. The Dark Knight is one of the interesting DC characters to play, especially with games like Rocksteady's Arkham Asylum series.

The Caped Crusader will even play the lead role yet again in the upcoming Injustice 2, as he will face off against Superman and his regime.

But for old-school gamers who prefer the board to the console, Monolith is gearing up something that will be right up your alley. Monolith has announced via its official Facebook that it is working on a Batman board game.

Based on Monolith's statement, the next place that fans can look forward to more details about the Batman board game would be at the game festival in Cannes, France. Monolith did confirm that it will be a Kickstarter campaign, so those who love participating in crowdfunding ideas can be on the lookout for this one.

Alongside the announcement is a teaser image of what could be the art in the game. there's a glimpse of Catwoman with a little more technology on her. There's also an artwork of Batman, but more importantly, the Joker art seems to be following in the footsteps of the freakier Arkham Asylum art.

The image is a possible set-up for tournaments for the board game, so it may be safe to say that it will have more than two players per round. We're expecting to hear more soon in the days leading to the event.
