Batman Beyond Live-Action Film Reportedly Being Announced Next Month

There is little doubt that people are currently excited about Michael Keaton possibly returning as Batman in the upcoming The Flash film. But is it possible that the Batman Returns star will be playing Bruce Wayne in more than just one DC Extended Universe flick? A new report suggests that Keaton could reprise the role in a Batman Beyond live-action movie that will be announced next month.

It was previously confirmed that Keaton is currently in talks to don the Batman cowl for the Ezra Miller film. However, Full Circle Cinema reports that the appearance in the standalone movie will lead to another project for the Beetlejuice actor. This is said to be the Batman Beyond live-action film, which is reportedly in development right now. Interestingly, this project could be officially announced at DC FanDome event in August.

This isn't the first time that there have been speculations about a Batman Beyond live-action project. After all, fans have been campaigning to Terry McGinnis to be introduced into the DCEU for several years now. If it does happen, the idea of Keaton playing the older Bruce is a welcome one. On the other hand, it is still unclear who will play Terry in the movie.

For now, Keaton's negotiations to appear in The Flash have not yet been finalized but there's a good chance this is something that could push through. If it happens, we're hoping that Keaton will also agree to play a major role in the still-unconfirmed Batman Beyond movie.
