Avengers: Endgame On The Importance Of Peter and Tony's Embrace

There were a lot of important moments in Avengers: Endgame. But one of the most significant moments is when the Snapped heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe finally join the fight against Thanos (Josh Brolin) and during the climax, we get to see Spider-Man (Tom Holland) reunite with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).

The embrace between the two was something that fans were looking for ever since Peter's death in Avengers: Infinity War.

Marvel just recently released Avengers: Endgame on Digital HD and in the release fans get to hear the different secrets about the movie thanks to its commentary track. In the commentary track, we get to hear a lot of different notes from directors Joe and Anthony Russo as well as writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

During the climactic moment when the snapped heroes of the franchise finally join the Avengers in the battlefield, McFeely comments on Peter and Tony's reunion.

"Yeah, this gets a big moment of cheer," McFeely said, noting the hug between Iron Man and Spider-Man. "There's so much going on here. He gets back the kid that he lost. He never hugged that kid before. There's actually a great joke at the beginning of Spider-Man [about it]."

The physical contact means a lot between the two. While Tony may have mentored Peter, though two never really shared hugs as much, and now, everyone's favorite wall-crawler was getting that hug that he'd always wanted from the man that he always looked up to.

It's a tender moment really, one that really makes you cry.

Avengers: Endgame is currently available on Digital HD.
