Avengers 4: Set Photo Confirms Hawkeye's New Costume

While fans impatiently wait for the trailer to Avengers: Infinity War, new photos have surfaced that reveal new details about the unnamed Avengers 4, formerly known as Avengers: Infinity War part two. Turns out reports about Hawkeye sporting a new look were accurate and we will be seeing Clint Barton in a new costume; possibly even a new identity. Fans of Brian Michael Bendis' New Avengers should get excited.

Weibo, a Chinese website, has revealed new set photos that look unimpressive at first. Jeremy Renner, the actor portraying the archer, wears a trench coat that blocks most of his outfit. However, if you look at his boots it is clear that he has a new costume and maybe even a new name. It looks like Clint Barton is going to be Ronin in Avengers 4.

Ronin was an identity that originally belonged to Maya Lopez aka Echo before she herself gave it to Barton since he was reluctant to be Hawkeye at the time. Clint is the most famous owner of the Ronin alias since he did a lot of cool stuff, like taking out a number of the Dark Avengers by himself.

Previous reports stated that Barton would face a tragedy that makes him take up a new name for himself. In The Ultimates, his family was killed by Black Widow and he became more of a gun-wielding lunatic. While Marvel won't be turning Black Widow heel, it is easy to assume that Thanos could attack his family.

Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters on May 4, 2018. Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
